Twitter searches are awesome; you can see what people are saying in real time. And it scares the shit out of me. I remember during the time of MJs death 'Micael Jackson' and 'RIP Micheal Jackson' were trending topics. Not that I am a spelling champ, but within these trends were the dumbest 140-character thoughts on the planet. With the passing of Walter Cronkite, we have witnessed a few more:

I wish some of the youth today had experienced the feeling of back when; when the news was taken seriously, and the voice of Walter Cronkite made you feel like, even though things were grave, it was still going to be ok.
Not that I live in the past, I like the present day with all its shortcomings - but the nostalgia for that past era and the realization that sadly it won't be experienced again - really hits home with the news of his passing.
I LOVE the first one! Hahaha!
